Why voice and sound quality matter
Why sound quality is key
A poor voice-over could kill the whole vibe of your project. That much is simple, but why? Now that bit is more complex. You see, nowadays audiences’ standards are a lot higher — technology plays its own part, pretty much everyone has headphones, speakers and similar gadgets, meaning the access to good-quality sound is everywhere.
A muffled or tinny voice-over, with room sound pouring through is just not going to cut it. Okay you may say, then I’ll just hire some professional from a freelancer platform — they call themselves a professional, so the quality must be good, right? Now, there are lots of really good people out there — that all is true. But the thing is, you’re nonetheless taking a risk with the quality of sound you’ll receive.
At CHC Voices our artists are trained, experienced and professional. Quality is guaranteed. Almost all of our talent are able to work from home studios, and we’ve vetted their kit to ensure you’ll get studio-like sound. We can also book our artists into a London studio with an engineer, for those bigger projects.
Talent is a must
A good voice actor knows how to manipulate their tone, voice texture, and pace to fit the part. That’s what makes them stand out. Not all voice actors out there ‘have it’. Think of voices in video games, explainer videos, or dubbed film. Have you ever listened and thought, the voice sounds flat or out of place?
Sometimes, it’s not always the actors’ fault, sometimes, it’s actually the casting! That’s why doing your research and taking the casting process seriously is key. Our actors are speedy, efficient and open to feedback. CHC Voices will match you with the voice you’re looking for, and if you need some guidance, we’re always happy to help!
